Jolene’s interest in Remedial Massage Therapy started after suffering with shoulder pain during her first pregnancy. After 7 ½ years of unsuccessful mainstream and alternative treatments, she was guided to an Osteopath and the issue was quickly resolved. This amazed Jolene who says she “needed to know how and why that worked”. As such in 2014 Jolene started a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy, during which she obtained her Level 4 qualification in Remedial Massage Therapy.
Jolene has always had an interest in the human body and qualified as a British Wheel of Yoga instructor in 2010. Having experienced the benefits of yoga during pregnancy Jolene went on to complete the British Wheel of Yoga Pregnancy module in 2013 so that she could assist others through the immense changes that occur during the wonderful yet challenging time of pregnancy and childbirth.
Whilst yoga can help to a degree with structural issues it is not a quick fix nor a one stop shop. Her treatments are truly holistic and Jolene is extremely passionate about her chosen vocation.
Jolene has a very caring but inquisitive approach to treatment and prides herself in finding the root cause using a variety of methods including soft tissue, articulation and muscle energy techniques. Patients of Jolene report back that she is professional yet fun and an extremely positive and supportive influence.
