Sports Therapy is a science-based profession concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability. Sports therapy aims to restore a patient’s homeostatic balance through soft tissue manipulation and corrective methods of treatment and can be used to treat any acute or chronic condition affecting muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and nerves anywhere in the body.
